It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Shafer in Billings, Montana, born in Butte, Montana, who passed away on February 12, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Polich and Mary Polich; her husband Richard; and her siblings, George Polich, Mary Mitchell, Josephine DeMers and Marget Bertram.
She is survived by: her children, Whip Shafer (DeeDee) of Joliet, Rhonda Ross (Jim) of Brenham, TX and Ole Shafer (Marci) of Huntley, MT; and her grandchildren, Daren Shafer (Barb), Sari Stahl of Shepard, MT, Tayvn West (Josh), Eli Shafer (Angela) of Billings and Jon Shafer (Whitney) of Belgrade. She is also survived by other loving great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
