He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Heinrich "Henry" Gabel and Maria "Mabel" Grosskopf; his siblings, Esther Buerkle (Reinold), Harold Gabel (Dorothy), Alvin Gabel (Marylou), Dorothy Shinazy, Roy Gabel (Clarice), Majorie "Marge" Herman (Fred), Violet Eckhardt (Bob), Henry "Buck" Gabel (Eleanor), Annabelle Schreiner (Reynold), Alvina Jansma (August), Conrad "Cooney" and Larry Gabel (Beverly); his significant other Orlena; and his children, Geraldine Gabel Mollett, Eileen Gabel, Levi Gabel, Randy Paulson (Connie), Tim Paulson (Lorna) and Marci Shafer (Ole). He was also cherished by seven children, countless grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even some great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials can be made to Shriners Hospital, Saint Jude, or a charity of your choice.
