He was predeceased by: his parents, Les Alweis and Rosella Alweis; and his grandfather Joe. He is survived by: his uncles, Norm and Paul; his wife Ellen; his children, Sheldon Alweis (Nikki) and Jody Alweis; his granddaughters, Hilary Alweis (Mark Murphy, Jr.) and Caitlin Alweis; his great grandchildren, Bill and Paxton Murphy; his sister Elaine Ziskind; and his cousins, Sophie Alweis (Lance Grebner), Janet Swadden (Ed) and Peggy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
