He was predeceased by: his parents, Nils Nilsen and Patricia Nilsen; and his brother William. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Gartman-Nilsen; his children, David Gartman (Heidi), Brian Gartman (Rhonda) and Nicole Foley (Tim); his grandchildren, Paola, Kellan, Amber, Sean and Alexis; and his siblings, Carol, Beth and Clifford.
