Betty Sue left this world on February 22, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Heckel and Caraline Heckel (Pleinis); her husband James Robert Elder (Jim); her siblings, Ralph Heckel, Warren Heckel, Myren Heckel, Lola Quest, Paulette Bargen, Phyllis Kirkemo, Gladys Schmidt, Donna Feller and Janice Evenson; and her great grandchild Hannah Elder.
She is survived by: her children, Barry Elder (Cindy) of Rapid City, SD and Rickie of Big Timber, MT; her grandson Mark Elder (Kim) of Rapid City, SD; and her children, Gene Elder (Angie) of Loveland, CO, Paul Elder (Kristi) of Rapid City, SD, Eric Elder (Jill) of Rapid City, SD, Robert Elder (Betsy) of Chicago, IL, Chad McLean (Cari) of Phoenix, AZ, Amber Elder of Phoenix, AZ and Brent Ostermiller (Adrienne) of Billings, MT.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Chapels (925 S 27th St, Billings, MT 59101). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
