It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arlene Christine Schaefer of Billings, Montana, who passed away on March 1, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edward Koschel and Christina Koschel (Krauzs); her children, Jerry Schaefer (Kay) of Bozeman, Carol Callen (Jerry) of Billings and Dennis Schaefer (Sue) of Billings; her grandchildren, Mark Schaefer (Sara) of Roberts, Michelle Schaefer (Connar) of Casper, WY, Starla Anderson (Bryce) of Fargo, Jeanie Barat (Avi) of San Diego, CA, Matthew Schaefer of Broadus and Melissa Schaefer (Randy) of San Antonio, TX; her great grandchildren, Emerson Schaefer of Roberts, Alicia Anderson (Buck) of Carrboro, NC, Tyler Anderson (Olivia) of Kearney, NE, Kailash Barat and Tej Barat of San Diego, CA; her siblings, Gilbert Koschel (Doris) and Marlys Shryock (Harry); her husband Jake Schaefer; and her siblings, Marvin, Orvall, Douglas and Lorina. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
