He was predeceased by: his son Lee; his wife Betty Hagestad; his siblings, Merle and Mary (John Britton); and his son-in-law Skip Christensen.
He is survived by: his former wife Florence Madsen; and his children, JoAnn and Jay. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
