It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Robert Harper of Big Timber, Montana, who passed away on December 12, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward V. Harper and Mabel C. Harper (Crum); his wife Jean Harper; his stepson Ronnie Pederson; his siblings, Chuck Harper, Dick Harper, Betty Kallen, Helen Andrick and Catherine Bainter; his nephew Kevin Jones; his son-in-law Laborde; and his close friend Mickey Edwards.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Brien, Robin LaBorde, Julie Dodge (Dan), Jeff Harper and Jay Harper (Kim); his sisters, Ginny Rathkamp (Darrell), Mary Underwood, Margaret Solheim and Kathleen Thomas; his grandchildren, Ami Burns (JD), Jon Brien, Tamar Brien, Tina Brien, Jamie Kesler (Sam), Jennifer Yelverton (Brandon), Lance Dodge (Annie), Clinton Dodge (Mariya), Jackie Fischer (Orie), Jonathan Harper (Lauren), Kaitlyn Harper, Kiersten Harper and Kassidy Harper; and his friend Zip. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Stenberg Funeral Home (215 Anderson St, Big Timber, MT 59011). A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Mountain View Cemetery. A reception will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 12:45 PM to 3:00 PM at the American Legion Post #19 (110 E 3rd Ave, Big Timber, MT 59011).
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bob's name may be made to American Legion Post #19, PO Box 51, Big Timber, MT 59011.
