He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Scholten and Jessie Scholten (Huyser). He is survived by: his wife Alta; his children, Peggy Becken (Charles) and Lauren Scholten (Barbara); his grandchildren, Morgan and Brandon Scholten; and his brothers, Dewey Scholten (Darlene) and Gerald Scholten (Patricia). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given to Montana on a Mission (PO Box 696, Big Timber, MT 59011) or charity of your choice.
