He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Weiskopf and Eva Shorb Weiskopf; and his son Eric. He is survived by: his pet Spanky; his wife Laurie McMullen Weiskopf; his daughter Heidi Weiskopf; his grandchildren, Hunter and Morgan Weiskopf Hingston; his siblings, Dan Weiskopf (Cyndi) and Joie Heutche (John); his siblings-in-law, Sue Strand (Tim), Julie Graham (Terry), Mary Jo Amb (Mark) and Jim McMullen (Sharon); and his former wife Jeanne Weiskopf. He is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews; 29 great nieces and nephews, with a great-grandnephew.
In addition to his contributions to the game as a professional and designer, he provided his informed perspectives and candid views to millions of viewers as he worked for CBS covering the Masters, and ABC Sports and ESPN covering The Open Championship.
