He is survived by: his children, Bryan (Denise) and Lisa Shirley (Sawyer); his grandchildren, Andrew (Sara), Peyton and Jordan; his great grandchildren, Parker and Tessa Kate; and his sister Marilyn.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Leon County Humane Society.
