He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Genereux and Walter L. Genereux; and his brother Carrol "Bumps" Genereux. He is survived by: his wife Deana Hurd; his children, Marti Genereux, Cinda Pearson (Robin), Brock Genereux (Cruz), Darin Genereux (Lisa) and Theresa Zook (Andy); his grandchildren, Shawn Hill (Chad), Kirsten Gilead (Tyler), Shalayna Clark (Casey), Corbin Pearson (Kaurie), Jasmine Genereux, Jeremiah Genereux, Josalynn Genereux, Sage Zook and Ian Zook; his great grandchildren, Sharlise Hill, Preston Hill, Aidreannika Gilead, Keyahwnna Gilead, Kyler Gilead, Alexis Clark, Kara Clark, Kylie Clark, Cambri Clark and Kinslee Dee Clark; and his siblings, Margaret Amos (Bob) and Roger Genereux (Gaye).
Memorials in Wally's honor may be made to St. Margaret Mary's Church, the Big Sandy Medical Center, or the charity of the donor's choice.
