He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Barnhardt and Flora Lipp; his children, Michael and Pamela; and his siblings, William, Robert, Alice and Annette.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Staigle of Martin's Catholic Church; his children, Karen A. Barnhardt and K. C. (Karen L.); his grandchildren, Jessica Anderson (Jeff), Erica Droge (Jeff) and Austin (Emily); his great grandchildren, Kaylee, Tanner, Colin Anderson, Brooklynn, Kason Droge, Brayden and Tori Barnhardt; and his siblings, Helen Pfleger and Dennis (Vickie). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A vigil service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dahl Funeral & Cremation Service (300 Highland Blvd, Bozeman, MT 59715). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Holy Rosary Catholic Parish (220 W Main St, Bozeman, MT 59715). A Mass was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A rosary was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Rosary Church (220 W Main St, Bozeman, MT 59715).
