We are sad to announce that on September 29, 2024, at the age of 94, James W. Tharp (Belgrade, Montana) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his former wife Maxine Tharp; his daughter Deborah (Leroy Charcas); his parents, James W. Tharp, Sr. and Maddie Estelle Tharp; and his siblings, Francis Jeannette Menard, Shirley Abraham, Alma Anniece Shelburne, Paul, Russell and Burl Tharp.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Tharp; his children, J. Stephen Tharp, Priscilla Larsen (Ron) and Timothy Tharp (Billie Jo); his grandsons, David, Gregg and Mark Charcas (Hannah); his children, Joseph, Ben Llanes (Stephanie), Anna Snyder and Jana Candler (Kyle); and his great grandchildren, Maddie, Bennett Candler, Lukas, Emma, Sadie, Carter Tharp, Greyson, Landon Llanes, Katlyn, Kinsley Llanes, Theo, Weston Snyder and Shirley.

As Alzheimer's took a toll on Jim, she cared for him with unceasing love and faithfulness and was with him in the Memory Care Center when God called him home.
