She is survived by: her children, Diane Higley (Eric) of Heyburn, Idaho, Shawn Shortman (Elizabeth) of Flandreau, Shelby Shortman (Jennifer) of Flandreau and Birdie Ukestine (Loren) of Sioux Falls; her siblings, Pat Bear, Aloha Shortman of Hays, Marcella, Winona Shortman of Havre, Jolene Shortman of Minnesota, Arleda Shortman of Arlee, Cheryl Von Gulner of North Dakota and Leon Shortman of St. Ignatius; and her cousins, Elaine Small and Valmarie Carrywater. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
