He was predeceased by: his parents, Lennis and Esther; his former wife Mary; and his granddaughter Chelsie. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Garrels; and his children, Trevor (Kristie), Zack (Trisha), Jaime and Garret (Laura). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Anaconda Pintler Hospice.
