He was predeceased by: his parents, John Byrd and Ruth Mongar Byrd; and his siblings, Dick, Don (Oly), Stanley (Ike) of Henry Byrd, GG, Guy Boomer and Rose Boomer Daniels.
He is survived by: his daughter Rebecca Sue Martin Byrd; his sister Gaye Lynn Boomer Johnson (Arvid Johnson); his children, Carol Byrd (Wayne Synness), Peggy Byrd, Sally Byrd, Jenny Dargan (Chris Dargan) and Bob Byrd; and his stepdaughter Renee Schroyer. He is also survived by Twelve grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchild.
