She was predeceased by: her parents, Elsa Fedderson and Dan Bertsch; her husband John Swanson (Jack); her half-brothers, Bill and John Swanson; and her parents-in-law, Elmer, Dodie Swanson, Jean Grubich, Bill Grubich (Jumbo) and Donna Swanson.

She is survived by: her pets, Roper and Bo; her sons, Craig Swanson (Connie) of Butte, Ross Swanson and Chris Swanson (Christine) of Minden, Nevada.; her grandchildren, Jessie, Sarah (Janet), Christopher, Blaise (Erin), Shaelee (Kevin), Avery, Juliana, Kellen, Addison and Harper; her brother-in-law Don Swanson; and her stepsiblings, Deanna Edington, Sue Carlson (Ruland) and Dan Bertsch. She is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Bette's name.
