He was predeceased by: his daughter Cathy Ann Pearson; his parents, Brownie McWhorter Pearson and Sam Howard Pearson; and his siblings, Lenis Pearson and Nina Pearson McQuirter.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Love Pearson; his sons, Gary, Kenneth, Ricky and Keith; and his grandchildren, Tyler, Luke, Keith, William, Riane, Daniel, Taylor, Douglas, Allen, Jessica, Mary Katherine, Josh and Clair Love. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
