He was predeceased by: his parents, Cora Lee Putman Hester and Robert Earl "Bobby" Scruggs, Jr.; and the mother of his children Beverly Dawn Gleason. He is survived by: his daughters, Kayley Ryan Scruggs of Decatur, GA and Sydney Danielle Scruggs of Brandon; and his sister Kim Scruggs Ritchie of Winona. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the New Hope Methodist Church. A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at the Oakwood Cemetery.
