He was predeceased by: his father Robert Earl. He is survived by: his mother Margie Blaylock Shaw of Winona; his brother Robert Earl "Bubba" Shaw Jr. (Paula) of Winona; his nieces, Alicyn Shaw of Winona and Adrienne Shaw Greenlee (Aaron) of Winona; and his uncle Robbie Blaylock of Winona.

I had the utmost respect for Rooster when he joined the service and the few times that I saw him then and after, I always thought the world of him. My heart goes out to you & your family during this sad time and I pray for God to comfort you in knowing the blessing that He gave you for the years that Rooster was with you, cuz Dell Blaylock.”
