With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan J. Mitchell of Winona, Mississippi, who passed away on February 20, 2021 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joan J. Mitchell to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her mothers, Ann Johnson and Ouida Ward Parker; her husband Robert E. "Doc" Mitchell; her great grandchild Nowell Defenbaugh; and her brother James Michael Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Bert Mitchell (Lisa) of Winona, Regina Mitchell Ingram (David) of Winona, Melissa Mitchell King (Ken) of Winona and Dawn Mitchell Yeoman of Winona; and her brothers, William Travis Johnson of Winona and Bobby Joe Johnson of Winona. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
All visitors are asked to wear a mask and to observe all social distancing guidelines.
