He was predeceased by: his parents, Maudell Orsborn and Reuben Hoover; and his brother Lamar Hoover. He is survived by: his wife Mary Glenda Wilkins Hoover; his daughter Jena Jessica Hoover Barry (Bill); and his sisters, Betty Boyd (Marion) of Winona and Tracey Millsaps of Starkville.

Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Oliver Funeral Home (113 Liberty St, Winona, MS 38967). A memorial service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel (113 Liberty St, Winona, MS 38967).

“Mary Glenda, Jena, Betty and Tracey: Jena just texted me and made me aware of his passing! I celebrate with you that he is home with his mom and his grandparents. We will be with him again in God's perfect timing. My heart is with each of you as we will all miss his presence and his "big brother" approach with all of us.
