He is survived by: his wife Gloria Holmes Moorman Middleton of Winona; his children, Marcie Middleton of Charlotte, NC, Elizabeth Moorman of Winona, Kathrine Crowder (Marty) of Ackerman, MS, Marc Middleton of Greenville, SC and Marilaine Ferguson (Shae) of Winona; his grandchildren, Calland Granger (Frank) of Collierville, TN, Alexandra Middleton of Greenville, SC, Mary Margaret Moore (Trevor) of Kosciusko, MS, Shaw Ferguson of Winona, Clay Crowder of Ackerman, MS, Annabelle Crowder of Ackerman, MS and Ella Crowder of Ackerman, MS; his great grandchildren, Alice Helene Middleton and Harrison James Granger; his siblings, Carole Richardson of Lillian, AL and Sam Pittman of Winona; and his close friends, Joe Dehmer, Mike Carter and Sarah Anthony.

An outside visitation will be held at the home of James and Gloria on Monday, August 23 from 9:00 – 10:30 a. m. All visitors are asked to wear a mask and to observe all social distancing guidelines while at the visitation and graveside services.
