He was predeceased by: his parents, George Leslie and Jimmie Marie Carter Lester; and his siblings, Kathleen Long, Lula Mae Gilbert, Bobby Lester and Gerald Lester.
He is survived by: his sisters, Evelyn Dowdle of Florida, Carolyn Alexander of Jackson, MS, Judy Bennett of Winona and Margaret Simpson of Coffeeville. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
