He is survived by: his son Derrick Collins Jr.; his granddaughter Trinity; his friend Patricia Johnson; his siblings, James Collins (Cassandra), Arthur Collins (Gail), Annie Collins Dianne Thomas (Sam), Harvey Collins (Renee), Virgina James, Roger Collins and Winnie Collins; his niece Gloria Campbell (Richard Campbell); and his cousin Curly B Hemingway. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
