It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Brenda Braswell Card of Winona, Mississippi, who passed away on January 21, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, J. W. Braswell and Rebecca Devine Braswell; her husband J. W. Card (Jake); and her sisters, Mavis Austin and Bonnie Campbell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carla Thompson of Kilmichael, Lisa Jacobs (Michael) of Gulf Port and Mary Jane Hancock (Jason) of Richland; her sister Janice Howard (Terry) of Winona; her grandchildren, Jonathan Woods (Tina) of Gulf Port, Randell Jacobs (Linda) of Hattiesburg, Chris David Woods (Krystal) of Gulf Port, Chris Allan Jacobs (Brittany) of Gulf Port, Rikki Neal (Adam) of Kilmichael, Justin Thompson (Mason Evans) of Grenada, Hallie Hancock of Richland, Haigan Hancock (Blair) of Louisville and Holton Hancock (Claire) of Baton Rouge, LA; and her caregivers, Jackie Sanders, Teresa Robinson, Mary Purnell, Sarah Ratliff and Grace Gayden. She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel (113 Liberty St, Winona, MS 38967). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at the Oakwood Cemetery.
