He is survived by: his wife Lola Strickland Smith of Wiggins; his children, Richard Lavelah Smith Jr. (Lori) of Biloxi, Gia Smith Gary (Thomas) of Marrero, LA, BranDee Senn of Gulfport and Amy Ligon (Justin) of Gulfport; his grandchildren, Ashton Senn of Gulfport, Dustin Gary (Danielle) of Covington, LA, Cameron Gary (Allison) of Gretna, LA, Rachel Smith Lott (Victor), Jean-Michael Ligon of Gulfport, Christian Ligon of Gulfport and Lake Samples of Gulfport; his great grandchildren, Anderson Walter Gary and Olivia Jean Gary; his stepgrandchildren, Peyton Thomas of Poplarville and Parker Thomas of Poplarville; and also Angie Spiers of Poplarville.
