He was predeceased by: his wife Diane Byrd; his parents, Eddie and Nola Byrd Sr.; his granddaughter Tina Cheree; and his sister Nettie Mae Lyons.
He is survived by: his children, Melissa Howard (Phil) of Carnes, Jim Byrd of Wiggins and Colleen Martens (Chuck) of Wiggins. He is also survived by grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.
