She was predeceased by: her parents, Hollis Ray and Geraldine Wilson; and her son Christopher Garrison. She is survived by: her son Jamey Carter; her husband Michael Carter Sr.; her children, Michael Carter Jr. (Reanna), James Melvin (Jamey) and Amanda Hardwick (Leif); her grandchildren, Jacob Carter, Makenna Carter, Trenton Hardwick and Trinity Carter; her sister Glynis Williams (Adam); and her nieces, Katie Mabb and Amelia Rojas (Dennis).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Shriners Children's Hospital in memory of Debra Carter, as this was a cause close to her heart.
