He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Starks O'Shea, Sr. and Alto Foard O'Shea; his brother Thomas Foard O'Shea; his in-laws, Charles Pate Gunter and Elizabeth Rice Pressgrove Gunter; and his brother-in-law John Richmond Gunter.

He is survived by: his wife Peggy Jane Gunter O'Shea of Marks, Mississippi.; his children, Amy Elizabeth O'Shea Perkins (Bobby) of Clinton and Patrick Foard O'Shea (Monica) of Houston, Texas; his grandchildren, Kathleen Elizabeth Perkins, Caroline Dawn Perkins, Austin Pate Perkins and Isabella Anne O'Shea; his sisters, Sharon Frances O'Shea and Elizabeth Arlone O'Shea; and his sister-in-law Sylvia Dame Gunter. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the First Baptist Church (560 E Broad St, West Point, MS 39773). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
