He was predeceased by: his father Neal Hunter; and his siblings, Patsy Howell (Randy), Raymond and Rex Smith. He is survived by: his children, Rachelle Gwathney (Anthony) of West Point, Tosha Rhea (Shane) of Una, Courtney Todd (Adam) of Ocean Springs and Neal Smith, Jr. (Emily) of Una; the mother of his children Linda Odom Smith of Aberdeen; his grandchildren, Meagan Hutson (Conner), Matthew Gwathney, Maggie Gwathney, Kaylee Rhea, Liberty Rhea, Mitchell Smith, Faith Coggins, Molly Todd, McKennon Todd and Madelyn Todd; and his great grandchild Hampton Phyfer.
