We are sad to announce that on March 23, 2023, at the age of 88, Mildred Perkins Pumphrey (West Point, Mississippi), born in Hamilton, Mississippi passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arlie, Sr. Perkins and Mary Bagwell Perkins; her husband Rex Pumphrey; her former husband John McGowan Stovall, Jr.; her siblings, Wilma Pounders, Marie Tate and George Perkins; and her brothers-in-law, Charles Robert, Curtis, Rev. Cecil and J. E. Pumphrey.
She is survived by: her children, Tami Riley (Dave) of West Point, Libby Langford of West Point, Jackie Stovall, III of West Point and Steve Pumphrey of West Point; her grandchildren, Shannon Hall (R. D.) of Aberdeen, Erica Turnipseed (Brock) of West Point, Chris Rodgers of West Point and Kale Pierce (Maegan) of West Point; her great grandchildren, Hannah, Evan Atkins of Aberdeen, Riley, Dalton Turnipseed of West Point and Waverly Pierce of West Point; her brother Arlie Perkins, Jr. (Sandra) of Aberdeen; and her sisters-in-law, Margaret Gurley of Houston, Iva Lee Perkins of Aberdeen, Evelyn Pumphrey of Houston and Joan Pumphrey of Tupelo. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
