He was predeceased by: his parents, John Alexander Watson and Hattie Bell Donahoo Watson; his siblings, Mildred Rodgers (T. J.), Margaret Colbert (Max) and Corkey Watson (Joy); his half-siblings, Winnie Golson, Juell Wilson, Louise Watson (Luke), Frances Lloyd and James A Watson (Snook); his nephews, Mark Colbert and Tommy Rodgers; and his niece Kim Rodgers.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, John Lee Colbert (Marcy) of Byron, Kent Watson (Stephany) of Cedar Bluff, Beth Vail of Cedar Bluff, Sandra Freeland (Ronnie) of Montrose, Kay Rodgers of West Point, Tracy Whittington (Kent) of Townsend, Sherri Singh (Nav) of Lyons and Dana Hudgens (Chris) of Millport; and his great-nephews, Joshua, Bryan Robert, Baker Watson, Jake, Luke Hudgens and Blake Garrard. He is also survived by great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
