He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Belk Weems and Ralph Hicks Weems; his wife Nancy Speetjens Weems; and his brother Ralph Hicks Weems, Jr.. He is survived by: his daughter Peggy Read (Stephen) of Collierville, TN; his nephews, Ralph Weems, III of West Point and Belk Weems of West Point; his niece Luann Weems Lewis of West Point; his sister-in-law Mary Anne Weems of West Point; and his grandchildren, David Ross Read and Abigail Kathleen Read.
