The passing of Hubert Lamar Watson (West Point, Mississippi) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on April 21, 2024 at the age of 85. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman Allen Watson and Lillian Felder Watson; his sister Alice Watson Nason of Aberdeen; and his son Bert Watson of Starkville. He is survived by: his wife Judy Aldridge Watson of West Point; his daughters, Holly Watson Creel of Warrior and Rebecca Watson Rutherford (Jeff) of Starkville; his grandsons, Nicholas Blackmon, Caleb Blackmon, Justin Blackmon, Sebastian Rigdon (Tess) and Noah Rutherford; his great grandchildren, Bennett Blackmon and Grayson Rigdon; and his siblings, Eloise Kisner (Jim), Emily Hopkins, Laymon Watson (Mary) of West Point and James Watson of West Point. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Point - Clay County Animal Shelter, 5122 Old Tibbee Road, West Point, Mississippi, 39773.

“Judy and Becky be strong. Hubert’s suffering has ended. He knew, like Job, that Jehovah will appoint a time and remember him.(Job 14:13). Jesus affirmed this at John 5:28 & 29 when he said all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out. I will always remember the good heart that Hubert had. Never will I forget the picture of him sitting on the roof of the Kingdom Hall when we had the quick build. Will keep you in my prayers. Love you all. Gwendolyn Deanes”
