It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gailon Joyner Young (West Point, Mississippi), who passed away on November 10, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie James and Margaret Annie Thompson Young; and his siblings, Ines Williams, Ann Fulgham, Mary Emma Houser and James L. "Bud" Young.
He is survived by: his wife Maudie Henry Young of West Point; his daughter Marilyn Young Ford (Eric) of Columbus; his granddaughter Brandi Durr (Waid) of Mancos; his great grandchild Axel Joyner Durr of Mancos; and his sister Elaine Young Merchant of West Point. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
