He was predeceased by : his parents, Harvey Lyle and Jane Brewer Knighten. He is survived by : his wife Kathy Knighten of West Point; his children, John C. Knighten of West Point, David L. Knighten of Canton, GA and Teresa Knighten Gisleson (Mark) of Osage, Iowa; his siblings, Paul Knighten (Judy) of Atlanta, GA and Linda Broadwater of Charleston, MS; his aunt Jean Vinson of Jackson, MS; and his grandchildren, Cole J. Knighten, Brody A. Knighten and Everett Cole Gisleson.
