He is survived by: his wife Barbara Cooley Freewald of West Point; his son Robert Dale Freewald (Jill); his grandchildren, Alexis Freewald, Sydnee Freewald, Linzie Freewald, Jaiden Freewald, Hailee Freewald and Alyssa Freewald; and his great grandchildren, Addie, Asher, Amillia, Kynzlee and Emree.
