He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Durell Barnette and Gladys Garner Barnette; and his siblings, Bobby Barnette, Robert Barnette, James Barnette, Milford Barnette and Carolyne Wilkerson.
He is survived by: his children, Davey Barnette (Jann) of Vicksburg, Billy Barnette, Jr. of West Point, Danny Barnette of West Point, Becky Barnette of West Point and Doris Ward (Kenny) of West Point; his siblings, Doug Barnette (Linda Jane), Terry Barnette (Angie), Bettye Oakes (Donald), Janice Brown (Frank) and Patricia Ross (Stanley); and his grandchildren, Chris Barnette (Ashley), Courtney Ward (Curt), Tyler Barnette, Todd Barnette (Jennifer), Gracie Barnette, Kemper Barnette and Kristy Whitaker. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
