He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Sudbeck and William Joseph Hood; his wife Barbara Hood; and his sisters, Martha Ann King and Patsy Spiars.
He is survived by: his sons, William "Billy" Hood (Miranda) of Pheba and Chris Hood of West Point; his siblings, David Hood and Betty Rickles; and his grandchildren, Dr. Anna Hartzog (Aaron), Loryn Hood, Collin Hood, Shayne Anderson (Stashia) and Manda Lowther (Justin). He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
