She was predeceased by: her parents, James D. Kirkland and Virginia Beckham; and her brother Chuck Kirkland. She is survived by: her husband Robert Smith of West Point; her daughters, Amy Pilgrim (Jeffery) of Union and Nikki Smith (Shane) of Caledonia; her grandchildren, Michelle Pilgrim, Jessica Williamson, Nick Pilgrim, Ashley Weaver, Cal Womack and Collier; her great grandchildren, Karleigh McKinney, Nataleigh Pilgrim, Scarlette Pilgrim and Jaxson Pilgrim; and her siblings, Pat Vowell, Danny Kirkland and Sonny Kirkland.
