He was predeceased by: his father Truman 'Forrest Carpenter. He is survived by: his wife Irene Carpenter of West Point; his children, Richard Carpenter of Slidell, LA, Greg Carpenter of Slidell, LA and Kim Carpenter of Slidell, LA; and his grandchildren, Isabella Morreale, Ciera Carpenter, Matthew Carpenter and Ryan Carpenter.
