He was predeceased by: his wife Zoe Ann Johnson Jones; his daughter Susan VanEtten; his son-in-law Bobby Odom; and his siblings, Mary Hannah and JC Jones.
He is survived by: his son John Jones (Dianna); his son-in-law John David VanEtten; his daughters, Martha Odom and Diane Freeman (Kirk); and his siblings, George E. Jones and Dorothy Williams. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
