He was predeceased by: his parents, Watson Gilbert and Sebbie Gilbert; his wife Emma Clara Gilbert; his siblings, Watson, Tony Gilbert, Ruth Benson, Gertrude Brasher and Daisy Mae Arender; and his grandson Justin Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Tony Mullen (Lisa) of Wesson, MS, Teri Lynn Burkes of Cordova, TN, Dee Thornton and Penny Jordan; his stepchildren, Jan Smith (Tommy Joe), Jean Janes (Frank) and Billy Wayne Mullen; and his brother Ray Gilbert. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mr. Paul's name to the Sylvarena Baptist Church.
