He is survived by: his sons, Karl Townsend and David Townsend; his siblings, Felton Townsend, James Townsend, Willie Townsend, Marlin Townsend and Audrey Covington; his grandchildren, Kennedy, Hunter, Alyson and Dakota; and his great grandchild Adalynn. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
