He was predeceased by: his parents, David Scott Burke and Ella Day Burke; his wife Etta Ruth Burke; his brothers, Charles Burke, Ralph Burke (Sara) and Leroy; and his sister-in-law Edwina Crouch.
He is survived by: his children, Leslie Smith, Scott Burke (Marie), Chris Burke (Lynn), Brian Burke (Gabe), Kyle Burke (Charissa) and Mark Burke; and his siblings-in-law, John Paul Smith (Bessie), Russell Smith (Jo) and Connie Burke. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
