She was predeceased by: her husband Joe Robert Norton, Jr.; her grandson Clay Norton; her daughter-in-law Jena Presley Norton; and her siblings, Harold D. Dedmon and Clara Mae Dedmon.

She is survived by: her children, John Alvin Norton (Kim), Joe Robert Norton III, JoAnn King (Neal), Linda Jean Smith (Tony Lynn) and Mary Esther Chance; and her granddaughters, Lori Norton Brown (Chad) and Sarah Marie Adams (Gary).
