It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Oscar Van Williams of Waynesboro, Mississippi, who passed away on April 16, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Oscar A. Williams, Sr.; his wife Patricia "Pat" Williams; his mother Dora E. Williams,; his siblings, Hershel "Lit" Williams, Prentis Ray Williams, Hugh Wayne Williams, Mable Snellgrove, Masie Langley, Grace Burgess, Mary Styron and Lillie Williams; and his great grandchildren, Zoey Hilverding and Kolby Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Williams of Waynesboro, MS, Clifford Williams (Rene) of Waynesboro, MS, Chris Williams (Jennifer) of Branford, FL, Bryan Williams (Selena) of Laurel, MS, Sandra Williams of Waynesboro, MS, Janet Headlee of Waynesboro, MS, Trisha Williams of Waynesboro, MS, Jennifer Jordan (Nickey) of Buckatunna, MS and Connie Williams of Waynesboro, MS; and his sister Ann Foxworth (Louis) of Waynesboro, MS.. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home (1305 Skyland Dr, Waynesboro, MS 39367). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Freeman Funeral Home Chapel (1305 Skyland Dr, Waynesboro, MS 39367). A burial was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at the Lowery Cemetery.
