She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy W. Holland and Clara B. Holland West (Elliot); her husband W. A. "Lonnie" Mathis; her son Joe Mathis; her stepfather R. L. "Bob" West; her brother Willie A. "Bill" Holland; her sister-in-law Maureen Holland; her nephew Glenn Holland; her sister Barbara Langley; her brother-in-law Junior Langley; and her great grandchild Madeline Johns.
She is survived by: her children, Margaret Webb (Jim) of Jackson, MS and Marvin Mathis (LuEllen) of Waynesboro, MS; and her granddaughters, Carley Laney (Chris), Leslie Cunningham (Kyle), Sarah Johns (Ben), Martha Comfort (Norman) and Patti Hendrick (Scott). She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home (1305 Skyland Dr, Waynesboro, MS 39367). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home Chapel (1305 Skyland Dr, Waynesboro, MS 39367). A burial will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at the Christian Fellowship Church (263 Clara West Rd, Waynesboro, MS 39367).
